Why I Choose to Review The Rise and Fall of The Third Reich ?

We are lucky enough not to be born on year early year of 19th century. We are living in prosperity and peace, not like them who must suffered two world wars that has crumbled the world and murdered millions of people everywhere. Back then death and scream is a like air as it was commons everywhere. The World War II is the most devastating war on military history as it cause more than 50 million casualties all over the world. So much death for such senseless war. From that horrifying tragedy, i would like to know what caused the war, especially World War II. Why it happened?. What caused it? . I found one of the factors ,from my history book, was Adolf Hitler and his Nazi Party. Therefore i found the book named The Rise and Fall of The Third Reich by William L. Shirer and there are many reasons why i chosen to review this book.

The Third Reich

First of all, the writer itself was a former servant for Nazi thus certainly made him saw personally of how terrifying the war is and what can a small party like Nazi and small country like German could tremble the world terrorizing Allied-Force. Not only that, the writers is aiming to be netral as possible without picking side in other words he told us the truth withouth any influnece from anywehere.  Simply remarkable work.

“Thousands years will pass but the guilt of Germany would not be erased.”  -Hans Frank- Hitler, an Austrian who was able to convinced 65 millions of German to fight for him, to crusade for him, convinced them with glory of Aryan Race, convinced them that Hitler is the High Leader of German and must be saluted Sieg Heil!, Heil Hitler! Heil Mein Fuhrer!. Despite all of his sins towards the world, i must admint this man is an amazing leader to have such influence and charimsa since Napoleon Bonaparte.

This books tells it all about Hitler, from his youth, rise, and fall. Back then Hitler was a painter who is forced to go in war inWorld War II. A Painter turned into a dicator and amazing leader?. What a twist. This book also stated on how Hitler hated the jews and blames them as the root of every German’s problems. This books tells it all about Hitler, from his youth, rise, and fall.

Not only that, this book also tells the war campaign of Nazi, from invading Poland, failing invasion on Uni Soviet, and Hitler’s last day on his bunker. All of them explicitely written and answer the question of “Why Hitler did this?.”

Overall, The Rise and Fall of The Third Reich is an interesting historical book i have chosen to read as it provide many information about Hitler, Nazi, and World War II specifically.
